Ballet Sur_real's debut performance on August 4th and 5th 2023.

 

For our performance at Studio Apelbaum, we created a choreography incorporating the light installation "Cognitive Painting," an installation piece conceptualized by Johnathan Apelbaum and his team. The choreography was gestated such that dancers could interact with the 3D light installation, and at the same time, lighting changes in the paintings reacted to the notes and tempo of the techno music. In this way, we were able to create a visually mesmerizing and immersive performance experience.

Performance at Musikbraurei on the 12th of November, 2023.

 

1781 Collective, an international collective of musicians and interdisciplinary artists, invited us to perform at their artistically immersive event at Musikbrauerei. For this performance, we choreographed a piece with the two male dancers of our collective to showcase neo-classical ballet using the music mixed by our resident DJ, David Talzin. While keeping the melancholy theme of the event, the piece began with an ambient track from Polygonia that allowed audiences to interact with the dancers.

Performance at The Code Berlin Pop -Up Event on the 26th of January, 2024

 

The Code is a Berlin-based club and fetishwear store that showcases designers and artists from Berlin's underground scene. They invited Ballet Sur_real to perform at their first store pop-up event of 2024 in collaboration with celebrated Berlin brands Nur Hektor and Adrian Weiss. Our collective's two male dancers and our newest member, hailing from New York City, performed an immersive piece exhibiting both of the brands' latest collections with music mixed by our resident DJ, David Talzin.

MONOM is home to the world's most advanced spatial sound instrument - built by 4DSOUND. DANCÆ will curate an evening of performances centered around Monom's state of the art sound installation. Aiming to break the foruth wall, this production willl truly take you beyond that what you have experienced with dance before.
